After singing in church during her early years, she wanted to pursue the gospel genre in her teens. Perry was permitted to listen to whatever music she liked from her peers, even in spite of the parents' will. She has always had an interest in music. Perry was a confident woman who fought for her desire to become an aspiring musician and went after it. Her first big break was not an easy task and she was required to overcome many obstacles. When she first signed to 'Capitol Records' several of her tracks were put on hold. Her second studio record "One of the Boys" was a big hit that marked a significant change in the life of the musician. The singer was now an accomplished singer and has never looked back from that point on. Her next album, "Teenage Dreams,' was a hit with music fans and was among the top-selling albums ever. Katy Perry became a well-known artist following the release of her album. It broke many records. Perry's charitable work isn't solely attributed to her role as a performer and writer however, she is also known for the many records she has produced. Perry is a gay rights activist.
